Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 June 2026 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Skillteq mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Last Mile Mobility (Pty) Ltd ("Skillteq", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. 1. THE SKILLTEQ PLATFORM Skillteq is a marketplace that connects customers seeking services with independent service providers ("Providers"). Skillteq is not a provider of the underlying services, is not the employer of any Provider, and does not perform the services itself. Any contract for services is formed directly between the customer and the Provider. We are not a party to that contract and do not guarantee the quality, safety, timing, or legality of services offered. 2. ELIGIBILITY You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Providers must hold any licences, qualifications, and insurance required by law to perform their services. 3. ACCOUNTS - You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date. - You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. - A single account may hold customer and/or provider roles. - We may verify Provider identity, certificates, and eligibility, and may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms. 4. BOOKINGS, QUOTES AND SERVICES Customers post requests; Providers may submit quotes or accept fixed-price jobs. When a customer accepts a quote, a direct agreement is formed between the customer and Provider. Both parties are responsible for honouring the agreed scope, schedule, and price. 5. PAYMENTS, FEES AND PAYOUTS - Payments are processed in South African Rand (ZAR) through our payment provider, Paystack. - Customers pay the Provider's quoted amount plus an applicable platform fee shown before payment. - Skillteq charges Providers a commission and/or fees as disclosed in the app. - Funds for a completed job are released through the Provider's in-app wallet once the job is confirmed in accordance with our release rules. - You authorise us and our payment provider to process the relevant charges and payouts. 6. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the status of the booking and any amounts already paid or released. Refund requests and disputes are handled through in-app support. Statutory consumer rights under South African law are not affected. 7. USER CONDUCT - Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes. - Do not transact off-platform to avoid fees, harass other users, or post false information. - Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or offensive. - Provide and request only lawful services. 8. RATINGS AND CONTENT You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, reviews, messages) and grant Skillteq a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Service. Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. 9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY The Skillteq name, logo, app, and content (excluding user content) are owned by Skillteq and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission. 10. DISCLAIMERS The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Providers or customers will meet your expectations. 11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillteq is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions, or services of any Provider or customer. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. 12. INDEMNITY You agree to indemnify and hold Skillteq harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms. 13. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users and the platform. 14. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts. 15. CHANGES We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. 16.
